Well, was that the best timing ever? We just had air conditioning installed in our office, perfect for this mini-heatwave we’re experiencing. It has to be said that it’s difficult to remain cool, calm and collected when the temperature is rising but our workspace has been transformed into a haven of tranquility.

We’ve just spent 2 days dashing round some of our favourite sites to photograph the work we’ve undertaken in the last year or so. When you see it all together, you really start to notice the diversity in styles and settings. We’ve done vibrant, colourful, funky, efficient, shiny, practical, sleek and stylish. The locations varied from primary school to boarding school, private members club to busy offices. You’ll have to wait until we’ve finished our new website to see the finished results, but you can get a sneak preview of the photo shoot in action on our facebook page.

Working hours to suit the site

When we were asked to fit out the kitchen at a prestigious members club in central London, we knew that their busiest time was mid-week, so we worked around their needs and got to work on Saturday morning.

Our boys took out the old ovens, and replaced them with shiny new ones … we must thank our very considerate client who’s kitchen was deep cleaned before we started.

The chefs were very excited to see the results. Very happy client and thanks to ‘my boys’ for their hard work today!

Michael burns the midnight oil… but gets the WOW factor

Michael’s a true professional, and it shows in the quality of his work. This mood board is being presented on Monday and with the 3d visuals, colour swatches and equipment photos, gives a client a REAL view of what his new catering facility is going to look like.

All our clients agree that its worth paying the fee we charge to produce these (£250-£500) in order for them to show the powers that be just what they’re getting for their money!

Had a great day with clients from Oxford Brookes, getting inspiration on what’s hot in the lunchtime market place and WOW, did we see some great food. Hats off to relative new operator POD food, for the most colourful food displays and REALLY informative menus!

The headmistress at this top London school has a great eye for colour – as we can see with this gorgeous banquette seating that our ‘Boys from Burnley’ installed today. Can’t wait for the counters which are coming tomorrow – its SO exciting!

WATCH OUT – CRANE ABOUT!

When ventilation fans each weigh the equivalent of a full grown man, how do you get them into position on the roof?? A huge crane is the answer! Our ventilation team hired one to do just that at Rosedale College where there are over 10 metres of ventilation canopies. Watching the experts at work was both scary and fascinating!

REFURBISHMENT OF SCHOOL DISHWASHER

We knew it was a big ask to take out the machine, run new services, take up and relay the floor and install new ventilation over the 3 week Easter break. So when we found the floor underneath needed taking up, the wall taking DOWN, we thought we’d overrun – thankfully it was only a week and now it looks FAB! Huge thanks to our clients esp Hugh Bailey for their help in getting this turned round so quickly!
